Simworx Customer Testimonials

Andrew- Ignition Racing - Subiaco

Hi Jack,

Sorry not to get to spend anytime with you this trip. Business up here in Wangara is just flat chat (which is good!) and we just don’t seem to have many hours in the day to split ourselves between here and Subi. We have to do an average of 12 hour days up here but getting to the race centre in the evening is a great stress relief!

Just wanted to send a note to say thanks for your help as always. You go the extra yard for us and we really appreciate it. I reckon the centre now looks complete with the final two sims and the feedback we have been getting is really encouraging.

Dear Jack,

Thank you for supplying SX02 sims. They look fantastic and we are proud to have them in our store. Allready I can see the value in your product with over the phone support. Spoke to Gareth in Support and he talked us thru set up and was happy to answer all questions. Looking forward to getting our customer base in the sims and blowing there minds.

Phillip 'When ever we have a party, we all end up crowded around it'

"Into cars all my life, I'm a professional engineer but currently in another indusrty – a lot of development consulting. I don't have a track car but did drag racing in my younger days. The main reason we have it is for the kids to race on the PS3, but also use the seat for other games like COD4.

I really wasn't looking, I just stumbled upon Simworx and was impressed by how unique it is. We have a 'man cave' with pinball table as well as other amusements, so this fits right in and aestheically it is brilliant. We'll go for an upgrade to 3 screens shortly.

I have 3 boys, so when there's a party, we all end up crowded around it.

Its good value for money for us, given our family.  Sure its not for everyone but you can immediately see the quality in the unit compared to everything else.

I would recommend Simworx, I trust them, I deal with a lot of contractors and manufacters in my day-to-day and I have to say they have a pretty good thing happening, it was on time, customised like we wanted it, no fuss and has been reliable ever since."

"I'm in Investment Banking – but I love cars, if there is a simulation out there I've played it. I came by these guys through an internet search.

I needed to get away from using my office desk and PC with a wheel hanging off it, it was time to spend some money on a decent set-up that wasn't an eye-sore for others in the family. The system sits in the study and is aethetically remarkable, everyone who see's it is simply blown away. Mine is in Ferrari colours.

I'm always a little wary of small businesses, but once I met the team it was clear they're growing and that gave me significant comfort.  I was never going to deal with an importer of back yard business.

I looked at others, like hyperstimulator and toytron but didn't really pursue them once I found Simworx, the quality is just not there, I felt I'd break them in 5 minutes. Once I had a drive, the SX02 just ticked all the boxes.

I frankly didn't expect to spend as much as I did but I ended up going with Simworx because you want to do once and do it right, I would have been disappointed if I didn't go with Simworx.

The support is excellent, I had some teething troubles but they fixed it and handled it exceptionally.  It only just fits through the study doors as they are very narrow 720mm, so I'd recommend checking that out.

I've had it for about 6 months and I have only just scratched the surface of it, I jump on to let off some steam, about an hour here and there. I might do a decent session on the weekend. I definately need to get into the car set-ups now to get competitive.

There is nothing out there to the level that Simworx do, especially here in Australia. Its money very well spent.
I wish them them every success, they work hard, give a damn and love what they do."

Merv 'the fact they are selling them into Europe was enough for me'

"I've had a unit for three years. I like motorsports and used to do Off Road Racing. I have a highly modified street car and go to all the V8 racing here in Queensland. I'm on all the Ford and Holden car forums.

The main thing I wanted it for was for V8 Supercars (PS3) and I'm looking forward to GT5 if it ever gets here. I found their web after seeing them at an event or on TV.

The website had more than enough information on it and once I got on the phone they were excellent, so I didn't even test drive one. The fact they were selling into Europe was enough for me.

I needed a new toy and this was it, I'm in the country and it sits in a big shed where I can pretend I'm Lowdes. I use it about once a fortnight - when there's a race on I'll have some mates over and we'll give it a good work out.

I may have made a mistake on the seat, I seem to have grown all little over the past few years  : )

I'm very happy with the quality, their beautifully made no doubt about it. Its better than I expected and is made up in the Holden Racing Team colours.

A couple of accolades for them, it was transported on time and even for an old bugger I worked it out pretty quickly, just plug and play. I'm interested in looking at the flight simulator they have too."

Greg 'I had another simulator but its junk compared to this'

"I started in motorsport late, at 48. This thing keeps me in tune, I have a Mulsane and an EVO 8. I was reading an article in a weekend paper about simulators and went to the website.

I had a hyperstimulator but when I went down and seen what Jack had, I was sold. I went through a few different specs, the motion system is unbelievable, a must have, its the difference between night and day.

The Simworx system, especially with the motion literally feels like I'm in my car, it adds a whole nother dimension. I looked at a few in the State and overseas, but this was so far ahead it was an easy decision.
Touch wood, I haven't had a glitch since I've had it.

I've found it incredibly beneficial. I learn the tracks before I go to them, I've been to Sebring and Nordschleife, I can't believe how exact the simulator is.

Its a sizable investment, but when I looked into it, I have two race cars and this is the closest thing to track time, but without the ongoing cost. Its a great buzz and keeps me fine tuned, I do a weekend on the simulator before I go to the track and it means I'm much more ready so I don't waste time when I get there getting up to speed. I brake at virtually the same spot, turn in the same, follow the lines the same, I can even try different lines.

I would also use it probably 2-3 times a week for 30 minutes or more – if I can I spend a couple of hours doing a race weekend. I actually takes a lot out of you, as the movement is quite dramatic, full thrusts, especially when you run wide.

Personally I'm wrapped, I love the thing, people might be shocked at the price, but look at what you're getting and its all backed up with great service. I wish more track guys had it, we'd be much better off."

Le Tran - 'I use it almost everynight'

"I've had it three months and use it for the PS3 (GRID, GT4 and Online,) I drive a Nissan GTR and I take it to Phillip Island.  I've always been interested in a simulator and met Jack. I made enquiries last year and went to the show room, its really good.

I was looking around and ultimately the look and design stood out – I read up on the chassis, actual car seating and stearing positions. Customising it was important and overall the service was friendly. What ever I wanted they listened too.

It sits in my room and I use it once or twice a night, racing friends online. The product is performing well and the level of support is brilliant, they really do love what they do.

Its definitely been good value, I can use it over and over, for a car enthusiast I'll never get bored of it. Especially as you can upgrade as you go, adding new bits, I'll get the motion soon. I've seen others around but they wouldn't be anywhere near as good."

Alan - 'Its exactly what you want and you'll be using it for years'

  • 49 years

"I've had a system for 4 years and I use it with the PS2 and PS3. When I saw the quality I just had my heart set on it. I'm into the F1s and V8s and my son uses the unit all the time too.

In the time we've had it, its been reliable and there's not too many things you can say that about. Everyone who sees it thinks its pretty special – I've probably helped them sell more than a few.

Basically, they're just a great little Australian company doing a really high quality job, they're friendly and as race enthusiasts, they make it so it replicates the track and doesn't look like some guys DIY job or an unknown imported thing from Asia that'll break in 5 minutes."

"I've had it for 3 ½ months and its awesome. I've never raced professionally, only go-karts and simulators, my dad's raced and I need to go a track day. I watch all the V8s, F1s, Indycars, Nascars, MotoGP and Superbikes.

I was looking for a sim, so I did a google search to see what was out there, I was going to buy another one 'drive-a-race-car' but once I saw Simworx I was blown away.

Budget was not an issue, this is my middle aged crisis, honestly I'd been looking for one for maybe 10 years, just waiting for the right thing to come along. I wanted a real racing challenge. I use it for all the V8s and F1s, I tape the incar cameras and follow the lines, after Bathurst I've just cut 2.5 seconds off my best time, its that realistic.

I know a few professionals who use it and they take the set-up from the software to the track.

The thing that was very important was service and support, I'm not computer literate so I wanted to dealing with decent human beings. They took there time and made sure I knew what to do, must be painful for them but I didn't once feel like they didn't want to spend the time. The other obvious thing was were they going to be there next week, so I keep on asking and there's always something exciting on the horizon, they've moved to bigger offices twice and the owners groups keeps getting bigger.

Some may say they could built it themselves but they can't, they kidding themselves and they'd waste a lot of time to end up with something pretty embarassing.

I use it for about ½ an hour a day and that's not enough. I have every stray husband in the neighborhood coming around to use it!

Its great value for money; there are others out there, I was quoted $26k for full motion and this is much less than that. You have to remember, this is engineered to within an inch of its life and it shows, for example, there are even women who come to our house, who aren't into motorsport (I don't know why we let them in : ) and say 'oh isn't it pretty.' I recommend it to everyone, its A1."

John - 'My race driving has sharpened up, its made a big difference to my confidence'

"I use it for racing, I use the same car in the simulator as I have on the track. I have a Radical (its a winged prototype sports car which does approximately 0-100 in 2.6 seconds.)

If I go to a new track, I'll practice up first. I went to Brands and it helps to get the layout. I'm hopeless at Eastern Creek and I always struggle with the Oran Park layout, figuring out what is where and where to put the car. This helps with that big time.

I found them on the web and looked at others, this was made in Oz and had a good look about it. Against the others there is no comparison. I only use it once a month or so, but its really good value for that. When we're having a few beers we'll jump on too, I can tell you that alcohol definitely affects your driving.

I haven't needed the support and I found it easy to use straight away.  For what I do, compared making mistake on the track, its makes economic sense and I'll be using it well after I finish racing on the track, I can tell you."
